My mothers art

My mother send these and more to me other day from Japan.
We are talking almost every day on the phone and she loves what I doing for mum.
She said "I wish I could use internet for say thank you to all of you who gave to me a message and I can see other people's art work!"
Well, my mum can not use mobile phone or DVD or any hi-tech machine. She think it can use cordless home phone as like as mobile phone, still now.
Anyway I'll do it for her. That's a better way at the moment ;)

Beautiful rose wood and gorgeous red kimono material.
This is a pincushion but just lovely to sit on anywhere for the home decoration.
I put some lavender buds on bottom of this cup.

This time we made it little bit larger than before.
I love this material, lovely color and design!
I made it for a pincushion but why not to use this for home decor!

Another wooden egg cup pincushion is here :)
This time I made flower shaped pin cushion and I filled lavender buds on bottom of cup, so when you open it, you can smell it.
I made this for pin cushion, but I think just lovely to have it for the home decoration.

I know it's Autumn in here Australia, but Spring time in Japan!
Cherry blossom is just blooming in Tokyo, most beautiful time in there. I miss it!!

Wooden egg cup pin-cushion

This wooden egg cup made by my fiance, he is a wood turner and It's used Australian hard wood is called Victorian ash, beautiful light wood finished with clear lacquer.
The material has lovely cherry blossom pattern.
The material is called Chirimen, a special crepe a little heavier than normal fabric used in making Kimono.My fiance has made heaps of stuff and I said to him "You should open etsy shop or take your crafts to local gift shop!"
but he is shy (or bit lazy) and I decided to sell this egg cup with my craft.
Maybe I should push him little bit more harder ;)
