Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori

Do you think this is a photographic? No, you are wrong!!
Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori, making most breath taking 3D art.He paints the goldfish by using acrylic paint on layers of clear resin, meticulously adding layer upon layer to give the paintings an amazing sense of depth. The result is an image so breathtakingly detailed that we could only think these were real goldfish suspended in time.
Wow....I never seen like this art before and I really love it!

And you MUST see this video! This video gives you a glimpse of his amazing painting process.

Coming of Age Day

The second Monday of January (it was 9th on this year) is a big event for young Japanese!
=The girls from Japanese idol group "AKB48"=

All young adults who turned or will turn 20 between April 2 of the previous year and April 1 of the current one and who maintain residency in the area are invited to attend. Government officials give speeches, and small presents are handed out to the newly recognized adults. So they can start drinking alcohol (officially), smoking (I mean cigaret) and they got the right to vote.

The ceremony is boring but some place like Urayasu (the place has Tokyo Disney Land) is a luck one!!See the Micky is coming for celebrate with them!!

Many women celebrate this day by wearing kimono with long sleeves that drape down, this kimono is for unmarried women, you can't wear this special long sleeves kimono once you get married. (You need to cut these long sleeves)
Boys wear kimono as well, but many boys are choose to wear a suit.
=men's kimono "Montsuki-hakama"=

I really want to wear these beautiful, gorgeous kimono once again!!

The Queen of polka dots

Do you know Yayoi Kusama?
She is a Japanese artist whose paintings, collages, soft sculptures, performance art and environmental installations all share an obsession with repetition, pattern, and accumulation. (She has described herself as an "obsessive artist".) Her art is characterized by polka dots.

"...a polka-dot has the form of the sun, which is a symbol of the energy of the whole world and our living life, and also the form of the moon, which is calm. Round, soft, colorful, senseless and unknowing. Polka-dots become movement... Polka dots are a way to infinity."

And look what she did!! This is at the Queensland Art Gallery, simply give thousands of colored dot stickers to the kids who visit here. What a fun!!

Don't try this in your house ;)

Happy New Year !!

Happy New Year to all ☆

I re-start my blog AGAIN! I have not update any post for long time. I'm sorry...
I had a very hard time on last two years. Especially I lost my mum on last July (in Japan) It made me stop everything. She fought to live for two years, bravely...(miss you and love you so much, mum!)

Anyway, I have to move on and I decided to start my own business. I always wanted to have own kind of interior shop since when I was a girl (of course NOT dreaming about the online shop at that days) I made online shop called zakka 81. "ZAKKA" meaning nick knack things in Japanese and "81" is the country number of Japan. I'm selling my hand made products and imported products from Japan.

This blog was used to be a my etsy shop(raycious) blog. But now this blog for "zakka 81"
Pleased to meet you guys!! I will try to update some interesting things as much as I can ;)

*I will be back on etsy soon or later, but at the moment, PLEASE let me concentrate on building my web site!

Bird's feather butterfly

I went to a local craft shop yesterday, and look what I found!!Unusual butterfly made by bird's feather!!
I think pretty simple to make this.
Get some bird's feather, glue on together, cut and made butterfly shape, then decorate with gritter glue and some paint. (sounds easy but may be very difficult to make?)
How smart idea anyway!!
I'm not sure what is this butterfly body, feel like a piece of wood.I will try to make one when I collect some bird's feather at the park. lol
It would be a great Christmas gift ;)
